In the twenty plus years Zia Natural Skincare has been around, they’ve developed into a company known for it’s natural products. Products that do not have chemicals, but rather premium natural ingredients. Each of their products contain a blend of vitamins, antioxidants and nutrients that work together and result in a eco-friendly and cruelty-free product.
I sampled the Men’s HydraShield Shave Cream. First thing I noticed is the minimal packaging. I love the sans-serif typeface and the bright orange/black/white color scheme. After cracking the bottle open, I decided it was time to shave. The fragrance-free shave cream helps prevent razor burn according to the packaging. Fragrance-free in other words means, no extra fragrances are actually added into the mix. The cream itself has a unique smell to it. The fragrance reminded me of a stale lake. That sounds strange, and it is, but the fragrance does not last and dissipates into the air soon after applying it to your face. That must be the combination of aloe, grape seed oil and algae which helps cut down on razor burn.
I really like the cream. It’s not foamy or heavy, it’s smooth and it does leave your body really smooth. Almost $10 a bottle is high, but you are not covering your face with chemicals and that is a big plus for me.
You can pick up Zia Natural Skincare products at Whole Foods and The Vitamin Shoppe.
The Zia line has used parabens in some of their products over the years, but they also have some new packaging for their paraben free line. Please bear in mind that many natural skin care companies do use chemicals. Not all chemicals are bad. Our bodies produce thousands if not millions of chemicals. When formulating natural products it is important to strike a balance. In other words, products that are safe and non-toxic but that contain the necesssary ingredients (e.g. preservatives) that will keep the product safe from bacteria, mold, etc.

The oily/acne prone skin care products are phenomenol too. I've tried lots of different natural ones, and this is the only one that works!
I haven’t tried this product but your review inspires me to give it a try. I enjoy following your blog. Thanks for all the good information.
Have never used that product yet, but the simmilar ones I found left the skin a little bit oily. What about Zia does it leave skin a little oily?
I've never heard of Zia. I'll check it out.
