I seem to make the best discoveries of products when I attend eco-friendly product festivals. This is exactly where I discovered Tiny But Mighty Popcorn (TBMP) and I’m so glad I did because it has turned into the only popcorn brand I’m willing to eat.
I only prefer TBMP because they have popcorn that truly has no kernel shells, which could get stuck in your teeth. This is because of the ancient heirloom seed from the 1860’s that TBMP’s Farmer Gene Mealhow uses. This seed grows differently than traditional corn, the ears of corn yielded by TBMP are only 3 inches long when fully grown. And yes that means your popped corn will be tiny too. Since it is an ancient heirloom seed, that means that it is Non-GMO and certified by Non-GMO Project too. It is naturally gluten-free as well. What is also really great about this specific seed because it is a “dense sterile” seed that means it can’t be cross-contaminated with GMO seeds.
That’s the science behind this great little seed, but now what are the things you can do with it? Well, I like to make my favorite traditional flavored popcorn but have also been branching out to new flavors. Check out below for my new favorite flavored popcorn recipes.
