Almost every computer accessory company sells a laptop cooling apparatus but this is one of the only one that does not use electricity. In fact, quite the opposite, The ThermaPAK HeatShift uses a unique chemical made of what appears to be sodium (after researching their PDFs) to displace the heat generated from the laptop.
It seems to work well on my MacBook and MacBook Pro. The pockets in the cooler haven’t burst at the seams and it holds up well when it’s moved from room to room.
The HeatShift does not get hot either. It’s a pretty cool product and I think it will improve with time as well.
