I love products that aren’t always from large brand name companies, because small companies sometimes have even better quality products. This is definitely the case with Spilled Milk Organic Oaties, great quality from a small company. The Rabbit Hole Bake Shop is a bakery company that created Spilled Milk Organic Cookies thought up from two friends who started baking cookies, cakes, pies & brownies in their apartment. This is a local New Jersey company, where you can find several health food shops who sell The Rabbit Hole Bake Shop products, from Morristown to Cherry Hill, NJ.
I was sent a package of four different types of Oatie cookies and a set of two blank Rabbit Hole postcards for me to use. I thought the postcards were a great extra, so I could let others know about these cookies.
The Peanut Butter Cocoa Oatie was a great chocolate cookie, yet I never really tasted any of the peanut butter, just cocoa and chocolate chips, however, I definitely enjoyed it. The main ingredients is organic wheat flour and organic rolled oats, which I really loved since that helped to make the cookie as chunky as it is.
The Chocolate Chip Oatie is just as it sounds, a simple chocolate chip cookie. It was just chunkier than a pre-packaged batch. With these cookies they aren’t as soft baked as I hoped but are more of a crumble cookie. I have no problem with that, not every cookie can be chewy.
The Ginger Oatie is a bit more spicier than I would normally enjoy in a cookie. I enjoy the chunkiness of the cookie, though would have preferred the ginger to not be as spicy as it was. This Ginger Oatie was my least favorite of the cookie samples I received. Ginger just doesn’t sit well with my taste buds.
Apricot isn’t something that I normally eat, but when it was baked into this Apricot Oatie I did enjoy it more than I expected. The Apricot pieces were not too large, and pleasantly chewy with the crunchy texture of the cookie. I was pleased with this cookie, try it for yourself.
All these Spilled Milk Cookies were overall great organic cookies, there wasn’t a difference that was noticeable in their taste from any regular non-organic cookies. That was great for me and made me forget I was having a cookie that was healthier for me. Try these cookies if you are looking for something great for an organic dessert.
