I’m not normally a guy who wears jewelry or watches, mainly using my phone to tell time if I need to know. When I got the chance to get one of Sprout’s Eco-Friendly Timepieces I made sure to pick a style I thought I would wear for the long run.
I had no problem with this as they offer a wide range of styles and colors. I consider myself a man of simple tastes so I went with the all black and cotton band. Here is the description from the site:
At least 86% Eco-Friendly Materials. Smoky Black corn resin case, buckle and sporty engraved bezel, mineral crystal lens, ink black organic cotton strap with matching stitching, black stain bamboo dial with smoky black corn resin reflector ring, printed numerals, indexes and outside minute track, white sweep second hand.
The watch itself is awesome, lightweight and comfortable. I have gotten a lot of compliments on it and it is a great conversation topic regarding its eco-friendliness. I have definitely worn this watch more than any other watch I have owned. The only downside I have to it so far is once you sweat a few times while wearing it the cotton band gets a little funky on the inside. It holds a little oiliness from the sweat and I’ve had to roughly hand wash it a few times, not so much lately as the cooler weather is here. Other than that I would say this is a quality watch. Not all of their watches have cotton bands so the problem I have would not necessarily happen for owners of the other types they sell.
I definitely think this is a great product and think I’ll probably pick up a watch for my wife, possibly a second watch for myself in another style. If you’re in need of a watch look them up.
