Radius toothbrushes have been creating ergonomic toothbrushes since 1982, so they have been leading the way of toothbrush design for quite some time. For the past several years I have been using a battery-powered toothbrush, with happy results. Only disliking always having to replace the batteries, so I was interested to try a manual toothbrush for a while.
The results are that I am very happy with the Source recycled wood toothbrush I was sent by Radius. The handle is created from 93% recycled material – 47% renewable resource. There are 3 different recycled handles; recycled flax, recycled dollar bills and recycled wood, which I have been enjoying the use of for the past few months.
I’m not sure why this is the only manual toothbrush company that has thought of using replaceable heads instead of throwing out the entire toothbrush, wasting the handle too. I am so thrilled with the idea of this eco friendly toothbrush, I feel as though many other companies should follow in this style.
This is a great toothbrush to have if you are eco-friendly and care about not creating more waste. One of the greater benefits is that the same handle is reversible for right or left handed brushing. Just look at the small hand stamp that is on the handle to tell which way to hold it. The contoured handle fits so well in my palm and is comfortable to hold, unlike a normal stick-like toothbrush handle. The replaceable brush heads come in soft or medium bristles. The bristle head is very flexible, which is great and helps to easily get around every tooth. Try Radius – Source toothbrushes, you’ll be saving the planet every time you brush.
