A typical morning for me when doing my hair is using a blow dryer to completely dry my hair and then using my Chi straightener to go over each section. This process takes more time then I actually have in the morning. I dread this process. I have been looking for an alternative. I have never wanted to use a wet/dry straightener for fear that it would fry my hair. When I received the Pure Heat Tools Wet-to-Dry iron, I was surprised. This wet/dry straightener looked completely different from all the others I have seen.
It was definitely larger than what I am used to, but I was eager to try it. This tool works like a regular hair straightener, but blows air on either side of the ceramic plates. I have used this straightener with sopping wet hair as well as just damp hair. It works much better with just damp hair. When using it with extremely wet hair it does not seem to work as well. I am forced to go over each section several times.
At that point, it is easier for me to dry most of my hair with a blow drier and then use the straightener. This tool is also larger than most of my other hair appliances, and louder than an average hair straightener. While using this straightener with damp hair I am able to cut my hair styling time by about a third. Though I am not able to save the time I had originally hoped with this new straightener, and the noise is louder than what I am used to, I have to say, I have not traveled with out this item since I first received it. This product comes with a 1-year limited warranty and seems to be made well. I hope the motor lasts longer than the guarantee. Will keep you updated.
