I am a huge fan of Orlio?s Black Lager and was hoping for the same results with this ale. I didn?t think it was outstanding, nor did I think it was terrible. Overall, the Orlio Common Ale is above average. If I scaled products, it would be a 6.5. The malty beginning is decent but the hop finish balances it out well enough.
The subtle bitterness makes this a classic ale. The timeless taste would lead me to go back to Orlio as opposed to another company. The fact that it?s organic, however, makes it stand out. Organics are a hard thing to work with, much as fresh hops. I think Orlio is undeniably on to something. Organic beer has a shorter shelf life than your average beer, so keep this in mind when purchasing organics.
Their marketing is hip and fresh. It?s fun and interesting and leaves something to be desired. I?m proud to wear my Orlio Organic Shirt! If you?re looking for the classic ale taste with above average flavors and complexities, then look no further. Orlio is your ticket.
