It’s been a week and I’ve given Nativa Yerba Mate a fair shot and I have to report in to you all. It’s good stuff. I’ve drank a few brands before in all forms like bottled into cold tea, in bags, loose and even out of a gourd. While the earthiness of the tea is present, it’s not overpowering. The tea bags are designed to provide antioxidants and all the good and healthy benefits of yerba mate but with limited caffeine.
For ten years now, Nativa Yerba Mate has been importing 100% pure yerba mate leaves from the oldest wild yerbales (yerba forests) in the world. The forests are in San Mateus, Brazil, where sustainable and organic harvesting is the norm and is strictly enforced by the State of Parana. Certification is still too costly due to the applicable area of the wild forests compared to the smaller and more economically certify-able area used for plantation-grown plants.
I’m sold! I really like the mate. My wife can’t stand the stuff, not even the smell. I’m glad the tea bags don’t give off the super earth nose normally found in loose Yerba Mate. I am pleased to have Nativa in my tea cabinet in my kitchen. So, if you’re looking for a good deal, click over to Nativa and check them out.
