I knew these cookies were really good because my son ripped the bag out of my hand to get more! I thought they were great tasting and extremely comparable to chocolate chip cookies made with regular flour and junky ingredients. In fact, I wouldn’t know the difference. The chips were very good quality giving the cookie lots of chocolaty sweetness. When dunked in milk they were the perfect consistency and absolutely delicious. If you can believe this… pea starch is the second ingredient listed after chocolate chips! Montanas chocolate chip cookies do not include preservatives and need to be stored in a sealed container in a cool, dry, place. Mine didn’t last long enough for storage to be an issue! In addition to being gluten free, they are also dairy free and nut free. The cookies are on the small side and contain 36 calories and only 3g of sugar each. I think that about 3-4 cookies would satisfy my chocolate craving. Gluten free products are becoming so delicious and readily available thanks to companies like kinnikinnick Foods. There’s really no reason not to opt for the healthier alternative when the taste is this good. With no hydrogenated oils and quality ingredients I would buy Montana chocolate chips for my family. The only drawback I may have detected was a very small after taste. However, I wasn’t quite sure. The ultimate judges, I feel, are kids. If they love something and can’t taste the difference it’s a great product. Sometimes my son can tell if I’m giving him something g- free, but not in this case. I think these will be my chocolate chip cookies of choice! Another great g-free product from kinnikinnick Foods.
