Maggie’s started as an organic tortilla company and transitioned to a garment company after planting cotton with the corn crop. Quickly, Maggie’s realized that this was a good idea and began to develop their line of socks, followed by other garments. Maggie’s mission is to produce and provide comfortable, durable, affordable and beautiful articles of apparel and accessories made from materials that restore, sustain and enhance the resources, including human, from which they are made.
The product seems to hold up to their standards. I have tried the Sport Socks, which are available in short and tall. I noticed that the short socks are low enough to cover your ankle, but not too high. The black and grey design is sleek and athletic.
Made from organic cotton, lycra and CoolMax, this athletic sock does a good job of keeping your feet dry and cool. The socks are rather thick and really comfortable. I’ve worn them at work, where I walk approximately 2 miles a day and also have relaxed in them at home.
The thickness and athletic feel from the sock really makes these a nice pair of socks to own.
Check Maggie’s out on the web. You can read more about their history, their commitment to the environment and their people as well as make a purchase or locate a retailer.
