I was so excited to try a new lip gloss, since I’m usually applying chapstick all the time, I was happy to see how others compare.
This new Lavanila Healthy Lip Shine – Vanilla Blossom just like all their products have no petrochemicals, silicone, sulfate or parabens. It has flavors of orange blossom, lemon and a hint of Madagascar Vanilla, with a peachy gloss shimmer.
I am very happy about the healthy benefits of this lip shine compared to many others out there. However, I am disappointed with the way this lip shine feels greasy not silky and feels like it just sits on top of my lips not penetrating them to moisturize. I wish I had better things to say about this lip shine, but it just didn’t have much of a benefit to my lips, leaving them feeling dryer than originally and of course needing some moisturizer.
Though I am happy the tube the lip shine comes in is 100% recyclable and none of this product was tested on animals. For the retail of $14 for Lavanila’s Lip Shine I would rather just buy a whole bunch of chapstick or Pangea Organics Italian Red Mandarin Lipcare.

Burt's Bee's lip shimmers in Fig is my personal favorite…and cheaper. And when you don't want color…their pomagranite lip balm is addicting!
