Green Tea Living: A Japan-inspired guide to eco-friendly habits, health, and happiness is authored by Toshimi A. Kayaki. She brings advice from her native Japanese culture through smart tips and sweet anecdotes.
Green Tea Living is a good companion for the modern and “green” readers, and would be great for those wanting to make small but effective changes for a healthier, more fulfilling existence.
Here’s a couple of tips from the book for everyday green living:
Create smoother, younger-looking skin with a green tea face pack. Grind up used green tea leaves into a powder, then mix with water and flour until it forms a paste. Wash your face, and then apply the pack for 10 minutes. Rinse off with water and follow up with your favorite lotion.
Mix your own vinegar conditioner for soft, shiny hair. In an empty plastic bottle combine 16 oz water, 4 tbsps white or rice vinegar, and 3 or 4 pieces of fresh rosemary or sage. Just as effective as expensive conditioner, but far more economical.
Green tea has been known for its beneficial effects and if you have noticed most of what you see either in health stores or even department stores and even restos there is a variety of green tea you could choose from.
Drinking green tea everyday is known to make a person healthy as well as live longer, just like the Japanese.
Everybody is getting on the bandwagon and it seems it's working wink
