French Meadow Bakery’s Gluten-Free Fudge Brownies

Perfect!  French Meadow Bakery’s Gluten-Free Fudge Brownies are rich, moist and heavenly. The brownies have the additional benefit of being gluten, lactose, peanut and casein free without sacrificing taste, texture or quality ingredients.  Some may argue that they are perfectly portioned, while others may be left wanting at least one more! What a treat, absolutely delightful.   They are awesome!

The brownie(s) that I sampled had already been frozen.  I popped them into the microwave for 30 seconds and ate them slightly warm.  And I ate them solo…with no ice cream, yogurt, or whip cream…  they didn’t need anything extra.  My 9 year old son went crazy for them while he has sniffed out other gluten free products.    Each box contains 9 individually wrapped brownies, each 170 calories and zero grams of trans fat with no artificial colors or preservatives.

Although the brownies were absolutely delicious, I was disappointed by the heavily packaged, over-sized boxes and materials that they arrived in.  The largest box was 10x the size of the brownie box it contained.  In their defense, I realize that the product was shipped frozen, which necessitated dry ice and that I was shipped only a sample.   The fact remains that it was extremely over-packaged, not environmentally friendly which is an important component of Leafygreen.info’s reviews.
