If you’re considering updating your flooring with an environmentally-friendly material, look no further than Forbo Marmoleum. We recently installed this in our dining room, and I couldn’t be more pleased with its performance and appearance.
Marmoleum makes it easy to green your floor. Forbo demonstrates concern for the environment in every step of the manufacturing process. The company uses sustainable materials, such as natural linseed oil, rosin and jute.
Marmoleum is available in sheet, tile and Marmoleum Click panels. We chose the interlocking panels. Regardless of which style you select, Forbo has a fantastic variety of colors and textures to suit any décor.
Our order arrived in timely manner. A few panels suffered minor cracks along the seams during shipping. We installed those along the walls where the baseboards completely hide the damage.
The installation process was very simple and the instructions were easy to understand. Only a few basic tools were necessary for laying the floor. The panels were easy to cut and didn’t splinter or split. Their tongue and groove design allows them to be installed without glue. Due to the nature of the materials, the panels are not recommended for use in damp areas, such as bathrooms.
Our finished floor is beautiful. The color is warm and inviting, and the appearance is virtually seamless. We’re very impressed with its durability as well. With two active young children and a hyper dog, that’s an important consideration. Furthermore, Marmoleum Click has the distinction of being the first flooring material to be certified by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America as asthma & allergy friendly.
Cleaning is so easy, too. A dry duster or Swiffer is all that’s needed for maintenance. For stains, spot-treating with a damp cloth is sufficient.
