When I was asked to review the “EO Everyone” line of products, I was thrilled. I was a little skeptical when it came to skin care because although products say “all natural” or “organic”, that doesn’t necessarily mean they are safe. The FDA doesn’t have regulations about what is considered “organic”. Some products are labeled “organic” when in it may only contain a small percentage of organic ingredients.
Though I couldn’t tell if the products were organic or not, I found that only some of the ingredients were labeled as organic. Regardless, I found that each of the products were very safe to use.
In addition, they are a Certified B Corporation, which means their company is held to high standards. Their standards are frequently assessed, their results are public information available on the following website.
Lastly, the EO Product Company also cares about the environment. All the bottles they use are recycled, and they are working towards decreasing landfill waste.
With that in mind, I decided to try my very first product from “EO Everyone”, their Face Cleanse. After using it for a few weeks, I found that the cleanser is gentle, applies on the skin smoothly and smells great. It has a light citrus scent, which isn’t overwhelming.
When applied to the skin with water, it doesn’t foam up or lather as much as some of the cleansers I’ve used in the past. As stated before, it goes on the skin smoothly and does what it should. Cleans my skin and does not leave behind an oily residue.
I have acne prone skin. I was hoping that using this cleanser would help me with some of my skin issues such as blackheads and acne. This product doesn’t do much for acne prone skin. It does not prevent acne, nor does it get rid of it. I recommend it as a general cleanser. I’d probably use this instead of Cetaphil or Neutrogena Extra Gentle cleanser. The main reason, I would go back to it is because I like the ingredients that it is made of. I love the fact that it is paraben free and made of some organic ingredients.
In addition, the price is affordable. Some of the other brands found at my local pharmacies are much more expensive. At $9.99, how could I say no to this gentle cleanser?
