Essentia Organic Memory Foam Pillow Review
Oh how I’ve taken a good night’s sleep for granted for too long. It’s something that you don’t exactly realized until you actually do get a good sleep finally. That sleep is something that I finally got to enjoy by using the Essentia Organic Comfort Pillow.
In my life I always try to opt for organic or natural items when available. So converting my bedding to organic materials is something I have been wanting to do for a while. I got as far as acquiring some affordable organic sheets from Target a while ago, in my hopes to convert my bed into the plush comfort that you look forward to at a hotel.
So I was thrilled when Essentia asked if I’d like to give their organic latex and foam pillow a try. When it arrived I was shocked that a simple pillow weighed so much! I have never come across such a weighty pillow, not even in a hotel. So I knew we were off to a good start, that this pillow would yield good results. The weight of the pillow helps to make it extremely supportive, actually the most supportive pillow I’ve ever used!
This very supportive pillow conforms easily to the space your head creates when sleeping. This can leave a very annoying void in your pillow once your head is removed, since you’ll then need to reshape or fluff the pillow. That part I really don’t like, as the filling parts and stays that way if left untouched. I’m thinking that perhaps one entire piece of foam or latex would be better, so it wouldn’t separate.
This pillow is amazingly comfortable for helping to create the correct straight spine position that we are all expected to maintain while sleeping. As I’m a side and stomach sleeper so it works great for those types of positions.
My favorite part about this pillow is the natural and organic material it is made out of. An organic pillow cover is provided with every pillow purchase from Essentia. I added my usual pillowcase over it because I prefer that type of material more. Knowing that I’ve a secondary cover to protect the pillow from any sweating during the night is great. I won’t have to wake up to a stained pillow.
