First, click here if you want to see pictures of my car in action, then continue reading below.
Eco Touch is a simple, waterless car washing system. That sound pretty complicated. It’s 100% not difficult at all. The Eco Touch system requires three parts. The waterless spray, microfiber towels and some elbow grease. First you spray the car with the waterless product and wipe it clean. Then use another clean towel to dry it off and give it that extra shine. Note that Eco Touch is not that great on really grimy surfaces, so remember that. My car was really dirty and dusty. I actually hadn’t washed it since the fall. The Eco Touch brought back the shine that it used to have. The 22oz kit comes with 4 microfiber towels and one 22oz waterless spray. It’s enough for 4-8 washes and for under $20, you not only save the environment, you save money in traditional pay car washes.
It took me a good 30 minutes to clean my car with Eco Touch. I think if i wash it again, this weekend, it will really shine. My car was dirty to say the least. Eco Touch really took care of most of the dirt, but there is always more. I was very pleased with Eco Touch and I want to recommend it to anyone who wants to wash their car without water.
Another great benefit to Eco Touch is the mobility and portability. In my condo complex, I do not have access to a hose, so the traditional spray down the car method doesn’t work, plus it’s a waste of resources. I could bring a bucket of water downstairs and wash, but that again is a waste or water and would not work well. The waterless system is perfect. I don’t need a bucket, nor a hose, I simply need the spray and a few towels.
The owner and founder James Dudra is an aspiring ecopreneur and he really has a great idea and product. Please go check out Eco Touch now and help to change the car washing business, one spray at a time.
Actually you'll save time since there is no setup…bringing out hose, bucket, soaps, etc. Plus it is a one-step process (spray and wipe) versus spray down, scrub, spray, dry.
What happens to the wipes? I assume they get washed, but with that amount of grim wouldn’t it be necessary to wash them separately from clothes; using as much or more water than a bucket + sponge? If they get thrown out instead of washed, well now your just concentrating the pollution in landfills instead of in your locality.
Also, when I wash my car I usually don’t use soap unless I’m trying to do a really good job. So there is usually no pollution. How much energy does it take to produce this product, including the chemicals, shipping and packaging?
I could be convinced that it makes sense as a replacement for soap on those special occasions when using soap is necessary. But, at the end of the day, the most ‘eco friendly’ wash is one that uses nothing but water and elbow grease.
I’d need to check with you here. Which is not some thing I normally do! I enjoy reading a post which will make persons feel. Also, thanks for allowing me to comment!

That would prob be good for my car, but i can't imagine how long it would take me to do the Jeep!
Speaking of which, I haven't washed my car since last summer…
