One week until Christmas. Have you still got last minute shopping to do? I have a few great items to share, for those who like to entertain they will love these reusable ice rocks. The foodie in your family will enjoy these unique food items, from sustainable fish to sweet treats.
Though I don’t have a medical need to follow a gluten-free diet, those who do will not be missing the taste of gluten at all with these Snickerdoodle Cookies from Udi’s Gluten-Free. They are super soft and pleasantly sweet but not overpowering. Using brown rice flour, potato and tapioca starch these cookies will pair great with your favorite warm holiday drink, like this, this or this one.
Earth Balance P.B. Popps
Vegans have a great holiday sweet treat from Earth Balance to look forward to. I raved about these popcorn, oat and peanut clusters back in June and still love them. They are vegan, gluten-free and Non-GMO, they’ve done a great job with these addicting little bites. Find them at your local Whole Foods.
Didn’t know fish could be eco-friendly? This brand is. The fish is raised in a sustainable way that doesn’t impact the environment. It’s then added to their steamable meal choices – with seven different varieties of flavors to choose from. Find them in your grocer’s freezer section.
Australis also offers whole fish fillets. Not sure what to do with a whole fish fillet? Their website offers many recipes to enhance the flavor of your fish dish, so there’s no reason not to try it for your holiday dinner. Even if you don’t like fish, we think you may change your mind.
Beanfield Chips
Since I reviewed these chips at the beginning of this year, they have been my absolute favorite snack and cannot get enough of them. Especially because they aren’t sold locally near me. Made from beans and rice these chips come in several flavors, even including nacho. Which doesn’t even have that neon orange cheese powder but has all the great flavor of actual nachos. Beanfields are Non-GMO verified too.
For your holiday party these will be a hit, I promise. And for those who can find them locally, we are offering Beanfields coupons – $.50 off any 6oz. bag and $1.00 off any two 6oz. bags. Just leave a comment or email letting us know you’d like us to send you some coupons – limit two of each coupon per household.
Sparq Soapstone Ice Rocks
I’ve seen reusable plastic ice cubes before, but that weird blue slime inside always put me off from using them. Once I found out about the soapstone ice rocks from Sparq I thought they were fantastic. A non-chemical way to chill your favorite drink or whiskey, as they are also known as whiskey stones. I keep mine in the freezer at all times and have them ready if I need to cool down a drink. The best part about these is that they never dilute your drink, something I truly dislike about ice. They come in a set of 9 rocks in size small, set of 12 in mixed sizes and set of 8 in large size stones. They also come in their own metal case to store in your freezer, dishwasher and household cleaner safe.
