I am very excited for Earth Day this year, mainly because I have committed to clean-up events for two nearby towns over the weekend. Though this isn’t very different from what I do on a daily basis when I leave the house or go for a hike. I’m just glad other people will be doing the same thing to help out. I hope to have a small recap of at least one of the clean up events.
Here are my essentials for Earth Day Cleanup:
Long Sleeve Shirt (to help avoid thorns)
Hiking Pants
Thrift Store Rain Boots/Hiking Socks
Extension Grabber
Sunglasses
Gloves
Not pictured is my new shirt from Stay Vocal via the Reuse Because documentary. I love that it has a great message! Wearing it will hopefully get a lot of people considering the way they do things while they are picking up others trash and consider reusing more items than they already do.
If you aren’t able to participate in any Earth Day events, just take some time to enjoy the Earth in your own way.
Go for a hike in the forest or walk on the beach
Find the nearest park and enjoy a picnic meal
Spend time Geocaching (a world wide treasure hunt) outdoors
Read a book under a tree
Be outside regardless of the weather by you and just enjoy, we often don’t enjoy the outdoors anymore because of technology.
