Whole-wheat penne pasta cooked al dente, add Amy?s Roasted Garlic Tomato Sauce top it with Del Monte?s Organic Peas and what do you get? An extremely easy dinner.
Amy?s Roasted Garlic Sauce is full of chunky tomatoes, roasted garlic cloves and lots of spices. This sauce is hearty, chunky, and thick.
Del Monte?s new line of organic, canned vegetables are affordable and soon to be available everywhere Del Monte products are sold. I added a can of peas for some color and nutrition.
The Del Monte peas tasted like the average pea though they are slightly darker in color. This is probably because they are not bathing in crazy preservatives. The peas tasted fresh and not mushy. They are only slightly more expensive then regular non-organic peas.
Check out older Amy?s reviews here and visit back soon for more Del Monte reviews.
there are no crazy preservatives in peas.
canning relies on heat to sterilize.
if you wanted healthy food you should have bought frozen peas. you can guess the peas are basically cooked half to death by the canning process. the flash frozen pea is about fresh as it gets. fresh peas are either thawed or if real, probably dodgy. they have the shelf life of a gnat. so best ones are frozen at peak freshness.
mostly the "organic" label=free profit for the company, it means little.
