So I was very optimistic about this being a moisturizing soap, perhaps so much so that I could forgo moisturizing after my shower. … I was very happy with this product and glad to see how many different scents (16 in all found on their website) that they have incorporated the sea salts into. With the great scents and the large size of the bar compared to a normal sized soap I would definitely say that this is a great soap even for the lack of moisturizing I expected.
This is an unscented, highly concentrated conditioning treatment (from Serpentine Hair ) that’s meant to be used 1-2 times a week before shampooing. Simply spray a light layer on wet hair from roots to tips until your hair is covered with the product. I have used this a few times and haven’t really seen a difference in my hair and frankly I forget to put it on before I get in the shower.
The Medusa bar smelled awesome from sandalwood, frankincense, myrrh and vanilla, but it felt oily on my skin (those same oils would probably be great for my hair if I had used the product correctly). It didn’t lather like most soaps we are familiar with, but that’s because it doesn’t have sodium laurel sulfate in it. I would give this another try as an actual shampoo bar next time, plus they’ve got a bunch of different smells that I’d love to check out.
If you are looking for more balance in your life and some lovely aromatherapy, then Color Aromas may be for you.
…I sprayed this one in our bedroom and in all honesty for the few weeks I tested them, it is very difficult to say that they worked on improving these areas of my life, but they did smell great and make me feel good using them. They are pricy, averaging about $20 for a bottle, but you can order them individually or as a set from the website above.
